I loved this day. We spent Friday paddling or floating [occasionally backwards] from Cambridge to Paris [25km] on the Grand River. With dense Carolinian forest on either side, you'd never know you were just an hour from Toronto. It's so pretty, the river banks were purple with phlox and wild iris, bird sightings included heron, redwing blackbirds, swallows & more. If you can, you should go.
